Growing With Purpose in 2026
Our Mission
The Broody Hen exists to create meaningful employment and community for adults with disabilities.
In 2026, we are building a sustainable model — one that allows our friends to work, earn, grow, and belong.
This is the year we move from hopeful beginnings to structured growth.
Why We’re Growing
Last year, one of our friends was helping wash eggs before farm stand days. when egg production slowed, saless dropped — and we could no longer pay her.
We later learned she had been saving for a car.
Moments like that shape us.
For some in our community, The Broody Hen may be the only place they can earn income outside their home. That responsibility is not something we take lightly.
In 2026, we are building stability — so opportunity doesn’t disappear when the hens slow down.
