Interested in working at The Broody Hen?

Thank you for your interests in The Broody Hen. We are so glad you are considering joining our team, as we all know it takes a village to grow a dream such as this. Whether you are applying to be a lead volunteer, a part-time volunteer or one of our “coop members”, we ask that you please fill out our online form and someone from our staff will reach out to you to get you scheduled for your training sessions.

Please note all our coop members (our neurodiverse friends) do need to have a parent, job coach, or aide on the premise with them at all times at this point.

Safety is a priority on our farm.

Because we are working with a vulnerable population, we do complete background checks on all volunteers 18 and over. Background checks are, unfortunately, not free. We do, therefore, ask for a donation of $21.00 to cover the cost of ensuring we keep our friends safe.

You may send in this one time donation upon filling out the form below and returning to our donation page here. Once we see that payment, we will process your background check through Safe Screener. To initiate the order, we need a first and last name as well as your email address. Upon entering this information into our system, you will receive a link to complete the remaining information needed by Safe Screener to complete your background check. Once submission has occurred, we will receive an email letting us know the status of your application and will follow up with you on your next steps.

Additionally, upon completing this form, we also ask that you download the below attached farm waiver, fill it out, and bring it with you to your training. Unfortunately we cannot allow you to begin volunteering with us until we have this form in our hands.
